Houseki no Kuni: All the Recent Details [Summary]

Houseki no kuni is an excellent manga series written by Yasumoto Kichida and illustrated by Miyoko Ikeda who has also worked as a character designer for TV dramas involving the Fairies in the long-running Shugo Chara! franchise. The series runs for three volumes, with Volumes 1 & 2 being published this year, whilst Volume 3 was published earlier in 2013.

In Houseki no Kuni, the characters are transported to the Land of the Spring, where they meet a kind-hearted and brave Fairy King who possesses a sword called Fairy Sword. It is this sword that transports all the people of houseki no Kuni to the Land of Spring! The Land of Spring is also known as Sagipoli in Japanese. This otherworld world is home to many fantastic creatures, including white cats that are actually aliens called Pookies who have cat ears and tails. The story follows an elf called Usagi who lives inside Usagi’s house in Sanzo Temple with his mother, father and younger sister Luna.

Houseki no Kuni : All the Recent Details [Manga]

Hoseki no kuni takes place in a fantasy world with excellent depictions of the rest of the world. However, one story is devoted exclusively to Usagi’s background, which is why it is so interesting. The author Yasumoto Kichida showed that he understood how to create an interesting story for all ages with Chiri Choutai! In the race to find a partner, Usagi struggles with his feelings for Chaika, who he has been chasing around since his childhood. What will happen when these two meet? This volume introduces us to a new character in the form of Furu-chan.

Houseki no Kuni

Houseki no Kuni Season 1:

Episode Summary houseki no kun is an adventure series that will leave you craving for more with great story and art. Usagi’s Friend Usagi’s Friend is a tradition in Japan, where children are given a new name on their birthday so it’s no wonder that Usagi was happy to receive his. After some repetitive training, Usagi finally gets his first experience with the Pookies, which leads to one of my favourite scenes in the series.

Minor Battles focuses on the Pookies’ habit of having duels with each other. This was a change in pace for the series as it was one of my favourite episodes. There is also an amazing scene in this episode where Usagi shows off Chaika’s special technique. The Different Sense is a plot-oriented episode that focuses on the difference in taste sense between Kani (Usagi) and Usagi’s friend, Rental [Rie Tanaka]. It also focuses on how they resolve their differences after they fight over whether or not the world should be saved.

Houseki no Kuni Season 2:

Episode Summary The Different Sense contains the first appearance of Usagi’s friend, Rental [Rie Tanaka]. They meet at a party and instantly become friends from a shared love for things cute. This episode introduces the rest of Usagi’s family members, including his parents [Yugo Koyama and Haruko Momoi] and his little sister Luna. The narrative takes place in the house Sanzo Temple that Usagi lives in during his teenage years. The drama heats up as we find out how Usagi resolves the conflict between himself and Rental over whether or not to save the world after returning from a training trip with Chaika.
