Caeleb Remel Dressel ( born 16 August 1996) is a top American swimmer who toils in butterfly freestyle special medley events.
Dressel studied at clay High School in green cove springs, Florida, and took training at Bolles school Jacksonville. He joined the University of Florida in 2014 and resumed his practice there too.
He was the first under16 swimmer in a 200-yard free relay in 20 seconds.
He won a record seven gold medals at the 2017 world aquatics championships in Budapest, and nine medals, out of nine 6 were gold at the 2018 world swimming Championship in Hangzhou, and eight medals encompassing six gold, at the World Championship in 2019.
He’s also a seven-time Olympic gold medalist and holds the world record in the hundred-meter butterfly 50-meter freestyle and hundred-meter individual medley.
At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, he won 5 gold medals which made him the fifth American to win five gold medals in a single Olympic Games since 1970.
He also became the first swimmer in the history of swimming at the modern Olympic games after 1896 to win a gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle the hundred-meter freestyle and the hundred-meter butterfly at the same Olympic.
Dressel has several tattoos on his body.
He Has inked an alligator on his left forearm, an eagle with the flag of America, which makes up a full sleeve.
