For men, the normal value of hemoglobin is 13.5 grams to 17.5 grams per deciliter of blood. For women, the normal value should range from 12 to 15.5 grams per deciliter of blood.

The test detects the level of hemoglobin present in the red blood cells of the blood. A low level of hemoglobin indicates that the person is suffering from Anemia. If the Anemia blood test results are negative, it indicates that the person is completely healthy and normal.
