Nikita Chirkov Gives a Glimpse into the Future of EV Battery Tech

Without question the future of the automotive industry is electric vehicles. At the heart of making this viable is perfecting the battery; namely, designing a battery that lasts longer and does more while being economically feasible in its mass production. The tipping point is the intersect of technology and finances, which is where you’ll find experts like Nikita Chirkov.

His work as Head of Innovation at Britain’s D&FG Elements has led to the company’s global renown and Nikita’s personal reputation for finding financial methods of cultivating solutions to climate conscious endeavors. Chrikov’s recent work sourcing and leading the analysis (for D&FG Elements) of a venture project under the codename “Battery X” is a part of the revolutionizing electrical vehicle batteries and thus empowering an industry wide revolution.

The idea of innovation is not sufficient to manifest it. Capital is essential and, even when one desires to be part of a positive change, a proper vetting is in order. Nikita’s role in protecting the investment into Battery X was to not only negotiate the way in but to find and hire the best technical consultants to run a sophisticated due diligence study as well as overseeing and managing the work of the investment team on market and commercialization aspects.

Chirkov informs, “During our technical analysis it became apparent that Battery X is a very strong company with a potential to become a market leader. From a technological point of view, the company is years ahead of its competitors and we are convinced that this will become apparent to the market very shortly. The company has been growing and innovating steadily over the last fifteen years resulting in more than four-hundred patents and commercial customers.”

Far more was involved in Nikita’s seal of approval for Battery X than simply a product that exceeds that of others. A strong component of the deal is Battery X’s ability to mass produce. This aspect places the company five years ahead of its closest competitor. Experts point out that all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) is the main contender for the next generation of technology. Battery X’s mass production of these places their product at the very forefront of the future. In specific terms as it relates the what is unique to Battery X, Chirkov point to the following:

  • Anode: innovation in materials used, replaced Silicon with Lithium Metal
  • Separator: completely eliminated need for separator, making the battery much safer and smaller
  • Battery design: new design delivers higher energy density and reduces module complexity, weight and cost
  • Manufacturing: use a roll-to-roll manufacturing process, enabling manufacturing to be scaled quickly

The belief in Battery X is global. D&FG Elements is joined by highly reputable family offices and professional investors from the United States, France, Taiwan, and India in supporting Battery X. There is excitement that this company will be a spark that brings about the change scientists have been hoping for. This would be impossible without those who understand vision and are able to empower it financially.

Nikita Chirkov’s involvement as a judge in the Unicorn Battles (pitch events to evaluate the investment potential of the world’s brightest startups) and membership in groups like the UK Business Angels Association confirms his international respect as a professional who is particularly gifted at finding the most viable and progressive of new ventures. Advancements, no matter how admirable, are not possible without those who understand their potential and are able to relate this to investors. Nikita point to the progress Battery X has already experienced with a current valuation of $1.0+ bn.
