The world milk day is celebrated to raise awareness among the society about the aspects of milk such as its nutritional value, natural origin, and various products, and also include its economic importance throughout the world. It has been celebrated in several countries by the participation of various employees and consumers of milk production industries. World Milk Day celebration has impacted a large population to understand the reality of milk.

History

In 2001, World Milk Day was first celebrated all around the world by the participation of many countries. The number of celebrating countries is increasing year by year. Since then, it is celebrated every year focusing on publicizing the activities related to the milk and milk industries all through the world.

This celebration has been nationalized by conducting related activities on the national and international levels. It is celebrated to increase public awareness about the importance of milk and milk products for everyone throughout their whole life.

This Day was first established to be celebrated annually on the world level on the 1st of June by the Agriculture Organization and United Nations Food. On the 1st of June, it was selected as the national milk day was already being celebrated by several countries during this time.
