Invincible Mobile Gaming

Invincible: Guarding the Globe is on its way and fans are excited. If you’ve fallen into the wormhole of the adult animated superhero show that is Invincible, no doubt you’ll be hungry for more. Sure, we were all hoping for a console game, but beggars can’t be choosers and if this goes well, hopefully we’ll see a console game on the horizon – not to mention more TV seasons of Invincible.

If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, you’ll no doubt be keeping a close eye on the Apple and Android app stores for your chance to download the new game from the Amazon Prime prize jewel. For all the details on the hottest new game, read on.

What is Invincible?

If you are a fan of anime, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bojack Horseman, and The Boys, you’re going to love Invincible. Invincible is the devil spawn of all these three things. The action and graphic design are inspired by anime, not to mention its gore. It’s about superheroes, but also trauma, which is where Bojack Horseman’s influence comes in, and the comparison to The Boys is obvious: between its humour and gore, it’s clear it’s not for kids.

The premise is simple: Imagine if your father was Superman. That’s quite a high flying shadow to step out from. Now imagine your father is J.K. Simmons. His voice alone would put the fear into you. And finally, imagine your father was a combination of both. You would need a lot of therapy to cope.

Invincible is about Mark Grayson, as his friends call him, discovering his superpowers and working under his father who is teaching him how to use them. But Mark is a man of many identities, including the identity son, prodigy, superhero, biracial, and even alien. There are other NPCs too, like Mark’s mother, his best friend Will, and the Guardians of the Globe (subtle, Amazon), who make this coming-of-age story all the more bloody and horrifying. If you need to find out the NPC meaning, look no further.

Alongside J.K. Simmons, there are names like Steven Yeun of Beef playing Mark, Sandra Oh playing his mother, Community’s Gillian Jacobs, and Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto.

Why now?

Well, Invincible might only have released its debut season, but there is a lot of fanfare around it. If you’re on TikTok, no doubt you’ve heard a sound or two of J.K. Simmons going viral and if not, you might still have seen comments on YouTube and Instagram asking where season two is. Last we heard it was expected to be released by Amazon on Prime in “late 2023”. However, with the actors and writers strikes going on right now, it’s possible that might be on hold.

However, game developers aren’t on strike, yet. Therefore fans who are thirsty for more can satisfy themselves with a mobile game. And Invincible is a TV show based on a comic series, so it only makes sense to pass the fable onto other formats.

What is the gameplay of the mobile game?

So, what is this mobile game like? Well, mobile games are actually getting pretty advanced nowadays. Loyal console gamers might be pleased to find out that we’re not talking about Candy Crush here. Games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto V are making their way to the mobile format. These are actually impressing players. This is the vibe Invincible: Guardians of the Globe is going for.

Instead, you’re likely to find an idle RPG that is free to play and a rich narrative. If the TV show is anything to go by, there will be a lot to untangle in between knocking aliens to the ground. Idle RPGs are a rapidly growing style of gameplay that is relatively new. It sees you going through a narrative with less of the grinding. It can make a game feel like a chore. Gamers of all levels can fight to collect characters, manage an attack squad and engage in fast-action superhero fights,. All from Ubisoft, the creators of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six Siege.

When will it release?

Keep September 14th 2023 in your calendar to download the Invincible: Guarding the Globe mobile app and save the world as Invincible and the gang.
