Search Engine Optimization or more simple, SEO, is critical when you want to improve your website’s search engine ranking. A proper SEO strategy usually consists of the display of some specific keywords, which will help you increase your traffic. Sometimes, SEO it’s about making sure that your website is structured in a friendly way and the search engines will be able to find it easily. With a well-implemented SEO, you will do more than just increase your blog’s traffic. You will also be able to create more structured content and to make your website more user-friendly. Bellow, we will present some tips, that will help you implement the best SEO for your website.

Why do I need SEO on my website?
Before finding out how to implement it, you should be able to understand why you need SEO in the first place. Over 90% of the internet traffic, goes through 3 main search engines: Google, Yahoo, and Bing. When a regular user needs a piece of information, he will look for it with the help of a search engine. Let’s say that your website has the most relevant information in that specific area. If you have a bad SEO, the search engines cannot identify your website and you just lost a potential visitor. In order to avoid that, some special procedures are required.

Update your content
Search engines sort the shown websites on a relevancy criterion. An often updated website is seen as very relevant by a lot of search engines. So always try to upload new content to your website. This is a great way to keep yourself at the top of the suggestions list.
Metadata
This is a more complex topic, but we can cover the basics in this article. Metadata is a tag, in which you can insert information about your site. There are 3 types of metadata on every website:
Title metadata
This is the text shown on the top of the browser, whenever a user is accessing a certain page. Our advice would be to use a CMS type of website because they have an automatic and very effective system that creates the text.
Description metadata
You may know it as the text that every search engine is showing next to each suggestion title. It’s extremely important because this is the text that actually “sells” your page and makes your potential visitor decide if it’s relevant or not. Don’t overreact with it, try to keep it simple, and to clearly explain what your site is about.
Keyword Metadata
These are the actual phrases that users type when they are searching for information. Having a rich list of keywords is great, but you shouldn’t exaggerate. Keep it simple and don’t use more than 4 words per key phrase. For example: “SEO tips for beginners” would be great keyword metadata.

Quality before everything
Remember that quality is the best way to optimize your website traffic. If you have a great SEO but a poorly written website, it will all be in vain and in the long run, your results will be disastrous. Properly organize your content with headings, sub-headings or extra-tips (if needed). Highlighting the keywords is good, as long as you don’t overdo it. Also, use short, catchy phrases that can be easily read.
Just remember, a good quality text is the best type of SEO, and you should never sacrifice quality for it. Even though a good SEO will be “appreciated” by the search engines, your content will be read by humans, so you should keep that in mind.
