It measures around 130×65.5×6.9mm and weighs just 110 g. The display quality is nice, and it works fine in sunlight as well.
The area below the display has a physical home button like all Samsung phones. There is no fingerprint scanner in this device. There are two capacitive keys with a back key on the right side and recent apps on the left side. The area above the display has the 8 MP camera on the right and the proximity sensor next to t similar to the Samsung Galaxy NOTE 4. There is no front LED flash in this device.
The bottom is crowded as there is the charging slot in the centre with 3.5mm headphone jack on the right. Like all Samsung phones, the power key is on the right and volume keys on the left. As the back cover of this device is non-removable, the SIM Tray and Micro SD slot are on the right side below the power key. The trays are easily eject-able with the help of a metal pin.
On the backside, there is a Samsung logo in the centre and a 12 MP camera module with LED flash. The back is non-removable and so is the battery.

Performance:
Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 is powered by Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It runs on 2GB RAM which is less as compared to the other phones available in the market for the same range. Graphics are handled by Mauli-T830MP2. It gives satisfactory day to day performance with 2 GB RAM.
Software:
Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 runs on the Android Marshmallow (6.0) enhanced with Samsung TouchWiz UI. The UI is similar to all Samsung phones. The app drawer is present, and you can separately view the downloaded apps and can also disable some preinstalled apps to free the RAM. Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 software is simplified and better than previous versions.
Camera:
Galaxy A3 2017 is equipped with good cameras on both sides. It has a 12MP (1.8f aperture) rear-facing camera with LED flash. Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 is targeted at the mid-range market. Galaxy A3 2017 is a compact and comfortable device. Build quality of this device is superb, with a thin and light body. In general, the performance is decent on this phone and is on par with other mid-rangers. The only real drawbacks are the non-removable battery, lack of Full High Definition (FHD) display and no fingerprint scanner. It only supports single SIM. Battery life is okay but not removable. The display is 4.7 inch, so if you are into larger displays, you should look for something else, but if you like compact phones, this device is for you.
