If you are looking for a job in the medical field that will pay off in the long run, consider going to school to be a physician.
Physicians are one of the top jobs in the medical field because they can pay an average of $200,000 a year, depending on where you are. To become a physician, you will need 11-15 years of postsecondary schooling. This is a large commitment and with the help of student loans and grants, you can easily pull it off.
As a physician, you will see patients and help treat and diagnose their conditions. You will also be able to give referrals to patients for more specialized care. Many physicians work at family practices, but the options don’t stop there. You will have the option to work in hospital settings and more.
2. Physical Therapist
Physical therapy is becoming one of the top professions in the medical field for many reasons.
If you want a career that pays extremely well and has room for growth, this is the job for you. There is more flexibility in a physical therapist’s career than in many other healthcare jobs. To obtain this position you must have a master’s degree and experience in the medical field.

3. Nurse Aide
Many people are interested in becoming nurse aides so that they can gain experience while finishing school.

In this role, you will help make beds and do light housekeeping duties. You will also help patients with daily living needs and take them on walks. Nurse aides help ensure that the patient is where they are supposed to be, especially when taking them to operating rooms.

4. In-Home Health Aide

In-home health aides perform various functions to help the daily living of their patients. In this role, you will go to patient or group homes to help treat people and make their lives better.
This position is anticipated to have an increase in jobs for the upcoming years and doesn’t require much experience. Many health aide positions require CPR/ first aid training and additional training that can be taught on the job.

One of the best positions in the medical field to go to school for is a pharmacist.

7. Respiratory Therapist
With COVID making its way around the world, it is no wonder that the job outlook for respiratory therapists is expected to increase.
Respiratory therapists help treat patients with a variety of respiratory problems. Asthma and emphysema and two of the top issues that respiratory therapists work on treating.
To obtain a role in this position, you will need at least an associate’s degree. A bachelor’s degree can take you further in the field, however.
