3 Advantages for Concealed Carry

Concealed Carry

While many people want to openly carry their guns, there are advantages to concealed carry. Here are just a few of them.

1. Anonymity

Some people argue that using your gun as a sort of scarecrow effect will invite enemies to leave theirs at home. However, this is not necessarily true. Foes are more likely to show up armed when they know that you will be as well. In the case of concealed carry, you keep your intentions close to your chest, like in poker. You don’t want to tip off everyone else about the cards you were dealt.

Whether you prefer casual or ccw dress clothes, make sure you don’t wear anything you usually wouldn’t. People who know your habits may suspect you are up to something if you change your behavior. You risk becoming the first target if you are seen with an AR-15 hanging off your shoulder. This will be less likely if you holster your Glock 19 out of plain sight.

2. Convenience

It is much easier to tote a pistol or revolver than it is to haul a rifle or shotgun. Guns aren’t only meant to be taken outside in public. It is just as important to ferry them around the house. You never know when something bad will happen, so you want to make the habit of keeping your firearms with you at all times. Your hands will be free to go on with your business, but you will still have quick access if necessary.

3. Self-Awareness

In addition to the tangible benefits, you can glean abstract prosperity as well. As someone who concealed carries, you will know more laws about weapons than the average person. Your observation skills will sharpen as you can start assessing potential threats surrounding you. You will feel more empowered, thus making you more able to protect yourself and others.

As you can see, there are quite a few reasons to hide your equipment from the world. These aspects are just a starting point.
