Bush refuses to back down

Author : IndySawmill
Never known to back down from a fight, President
Bush is again demonstrating that same non-compromising stubbornness
in the John Bolton U.N. appointment fight.

All of this, even though some conservative senators don't like Bolton
and along side the democrats, refuse to end the filibuster until the
Bush administration releases some secret documents.  When asked what it
would take to end the filibuster, Trent Lott said "...simply for the
White House to release the documents requested."

What is in these documents that makes the Bush administration so reluctant to release them?

Yesterday, White House spokesman Scott McClellan http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&;storyID=8850945" target="_blank">claimed that they have
released all of the information THAT THE SENATE REQUIRES.

"We've continued to make a good-faith effort. The Democrats clearly aren't interested in more information," McClellan said.

Hey
tool, that wasn't the question.  It isn't up to you to decide what
is and what is not enough information.  Not to mention, you have not supplied all of the requested information.  Liar.

Turns out, President Bush may place Bolton as a recess
appointment, even though that would severely undermined the U.S.'s
position in the U.N. and further polarize the Senate. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/06/22/AR2005062200393.html" target="_blank">Washington Post)  Doesn't matter, it's what Karl, Dick and George want... damn what's good for the country.

This unmitigated arrogance that President Bush continues to exhibit,
even in the light of obviously being wrong, should be a deep concern to every American.
