The Problem of Perfection

Author : Kevin Bidwell

How perfect do you want to be? The answer might tell you exactly why you are struggling online.

Here's why:

Web businesses are much like us as individuals: Some parts of us are magnificent; some parts need more than a little work.

And we are keenly aware of our flaws.

One of the reasons many people have trouble making money online is simply because they are so busy trying to create the "prefect" business they never really get anything profitable done.

Here are some realities you are going to have to face to be successful:

* Your website will never work perfectly. * Your product(s) will always have flaws. * You will have people email you telling you how imperfect you are--and some of them won't be very nice about it. * Technical glitches beyond your control will happen, and they will happen at the worst possible time.

Here is the most important reality for you to face:

Unless you go ahead and market your imperfect site, imperfect products and do it in an imperfect way you will never make any money.

Somehow your imperfect efforts to sell those imperfect products on your imperfect site will make you money. Potentially lots of money. Give it a try, it's worth it.
