Make sure your article is between 200 and 1000 words.

attention spans and will usually start to go to sleep if
your article is longer than 1000 words.

schedule and simply do not have the time to
rewrite an article that is full of grammatical mistakes.

rely on spell check to
catch everything either. It’s best to save the article
and look at it the next
day with a fresh set of eyes. It may also be helpful to
print the article out.
Sometimes it is easier to catch mistakes when we see the
article on paper rather
than on the computer.

Finally make sure that your article grabs the reader’s
attention. When dealing with an online audience,
you have to grab the reader’s attention right away.
Action in the first sentence is a must. Don’t take
too long to get to the point, either.
It only takes a second for your reader
to click away from a website.
